ENGAGING ENTERTAINERS LOCASH COWBOYS CAP 2007 CMA AWARDS WITH HIGH-WATTAGE PERFORMANCE DURING POST CMA AWARDS PARTY AT NASHVILLE CONVENTION CENTER

Band 24/7 Also to Perform at Post CMA Awards Party
NASHVILLE – The party doesn’t end when the last envelope is opened and read during “Country Music’s Biggest Night™,” as the highly-entertaining LoCash Cowboys and Band 24/7 wow the well-heeled crowd at the Post CMA Awards Party immediately following “The 41st Annual CMA Awards” on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Nashville Convention Center.
Dynamic. Entertaining. Exotic. Those are just a few of the words describing the non-stop groove in the exhibit hall at the Nashville Convention Center. The space will be transformed into a Zen garden, complete with huge lanterns, exotic floral arrangements, mesmerizing video projections, and Koi ponds, creating a remarkable, sleek and contemporary contrast to the high-wattage performances on a stage featuring a Mitrix Backdrop.
“This is another musical highlight in a night of extraordinary music,” said Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Operating Officer. “Our guests have come to expect great things from the CMA Awards’ Post Party – to be entertained, enjoy fabulous food and be dazzled by the décor. And they will not be disappointed this year.”
Each year, CMA holds a party after the annual CMA Awards show to celebrate the achievements within the industry and the people who have contributed to making the Awards a success. The 2007 Post CMA Awards Party is a private event exclusive to nominees, performers, and presenters, as well as Diamond and Platinum level ticket holders.
“Each year, I challenge the team to come up with something fresh and exciting for the Post Party,” said Bobette Dudley, CMA Senior Vice President of Operations, who produces the annual Post CMA Awards Party. “The Party is the culmination of all the events and activities surrounding the CMA Awards. We want each of our guests to leave being thrilled by the experience.”
Led by CMA Senior Manager of Meetings and Events Diane Bearden, the team includes David Holloway of Holloway & Associates, Inc.; Ilex Flowers; BBJ Linens; Aquascape; production manager Chuck Young; Bandit Lites; moo tv; and Spectrum Sound, who are all working with Nashville Convention Center Executive Director Charles Starks and his professional staff to create a unique sensory experience.
“Our entire team is very exciting to be hosting the Post Awards Party for the Biggest Night in Country Music,” said Starks. “Our Executive Chef Marc Trottier has been in the kitchen planning and working for weeks on a menu that will provide a perfect ending to what will be a truly fabulous night in downtown Music City.”
Starks went on to say that the party-goers will certainly not recognize the transformed Nashville Convention Center exhibit hall that evening. “Our plan is to allow everyone plenty of space to enjoy the sights, sounds and culinary delights tht the team has in store for them,” he explained.
The performances will add to the ambiance and are certain to keep the dance floor packed all night.
LoCash Cowboys, Christopher Lucas and Preston Brust, both grew up savoring music. Lucas was in Baltimore and Brust was in Indiana and both eventually followed their dreams to Nashville where they met and formed a duo. Their musical backgrounds include gospel, rock, and R&B, but their heart is in Country.
“You don’t have to pretend, or be someone you’re not,” they said. “Follow your dreams and have one heck of a great time in the process.”
Band 24/7 is a group of musicians and performers headed by band leader/drummer Nathaniel Jackson. The group routinely brings audiences to their feet with an energetic combination of oldies, R&B and Top 40 hits.
